今回は季節外れではありますが、クリスマスツリーを購入する際に使ったフレーズです 🙂
本物の木のクリスマスツリーは〝real Christmas tree 〟と言い、作り物は〝artificial Christmas tree〟と言います。
【雪が乗っているツリー】
● There is a Christmas tree covered with snow at the store that we really like it,but it’s too tall.
訳：私たちがいいと思っている、雪が乗っているクリスマスツリーがそのお店にあるんですが、ちょっと高さが高すぎるんです
【高くても買うのになぁ】
● Since we really like the tree, if there is a Christmas tree that is right height, we would buy it even if it’s expensive.
訳：そのツリーがとても気に入ったので、ちょうどいい高さのがあれば値段が高くても買うのになぁ
【台に乗っていた】
● The Christmas tree was on a stand.
訳：そのクリスマスツリーは台に乗っていた
【〜%オフになっていた】
● Many Christmas decorations were sold at ７０% off.
訳：たくさんのクリスマスの装飾品が７０%オフで売られていた
【〜円から〜円に値下がりしていた】
● The price of the Christmas tree we wanted was marked down from ２００ dollars to ６０dollars.
訳：私たちが欲しかったクリスマスツリーの値段が２００ドルから６０ドルに値下がりしていた
【５ドルに値下がりするまで待つ】
● I’m waiting until the ornaments are marked down to 5 dollars.
訳：私はオーナメントが５ドルに値下がりするのを待っている
【更に安くなった】
● When we bought many things, they made the price cheaper.
訳：たくさんの物を買ったので、安くしてくれた
【お買い得】
● I should buy it because it’s a great deal.
訳：お買い得だから買うべきだ
【日本では高く売られている、いい物を見つけるのが楽しい】
● It ‘s fun for me to find good things at the store that would be expensive in Japan.
訳：日本では高く売られている良い商品を、そのお店で見つけるのが楽しい
【それは展示品だった】
● It was a display item.
訳：それは展示品だった
【イルミネーションを飾ってある】
● I enjoyed seeing many houses decorated with christmas lights, because Japanese people don’t decorate as much.
訳：日本人はそんなにクリスマスのイルミネーションを飾らないので、イルミネーションで飾られたたくさんの家を見るのを楽しんでいる
